(Well, I am a feminist - just not mirthless!)
Originally named in memory of Lady Powerscourt, one of the 'Chief Women among the Brethren,' this is simply a place for me to collect stray thoughts about the Bible, women, the Brethren, Bible translation, manuscripts, writing systems, movies, books....

I never met a feminist who was mirthless. You, Suzanne, get a lot of rough treatment at the hands (or keyboards, rather) of the Christian male supremacists, and yet you manage to keep your perspective, your courtesy and your sanity. If you didn't have a sense of humor, I don't know how you would do it.
As a Christian egalitarian woman, I am indebted to you and your blog for the way you fight the good fight and give tools to the rest of us for self-defense.
Thanks for letting us see what you loook like!
I am very appreciative of your hard work.
I see CMP of P&P just recently gave you a distinctive "honor". Keep up the good work!
My condolences on being banned from Parchment and Pen while in the middle of your discussion of Wayne Grudem's use of the Septuagint re: kephalê:
