I have a high quality print of this painting and I am considering getting it framed so I can hang it properly. I have always loved the art of Elizabeth Vigée Le Brun, the most famous female painter of the 18th century. Here she is with her daughther, Julie.I just bought an historical novel of her life, witten in French, to give me something to read in French. In any case, my daugher says she loves this print, so I will get it framed.

yes, I keep thinking of what a tragedy it would be if women were restricted to the helper role. What beauty we would be deprived of.
