Roman Catholic justice
I was reading about this in the newspaper this morning. I thought some writers were exaggerating but it appears not. The Vatican has placed ordaining women on the same level as abusing children. They won't turn perpetrators over to the civil government and they put down the ordination of women as immoral.

A journalist I trust implicity - on religious news at any rate - also told me about this I'll send some other links on to you if I find them. Appalling.
So it's true in several places, then.
Certain men make extra rules for women and decide that what is okay for a man is sin for a woman.
And then those men wonder why women lose interest in following the leadership of men. Go figure.
May Christian men and women stop with their extra-biblical rules and traditions and find their true identity and fulfill their true 'roles' as disciples of Christ, sitting at His feet.
Hi Suzanne and all,
After this latest pronouncement, is there is any doubt that this is a truly psychotic organization? The Vatican's reasons for maintaining its bizarre stances against women are both deeply ancient and completely deceptive.
The Vatican is being set up for a much bigger fall than most are expecting. These unfolding scandals and debacles are merely proof of their absolute lack of veracity, before the real controversy is unsealed. I am the proverbial horse's mouth and I am now gifting you with the Vatican's worst nightmare, now realized. Here's an early peek for parties like yourself, who are more likely to make good use of the information.

As it has been more carefully explained to me, the pedophiles are not often excommunicated, but the women always are. Way to go!
What interests me about this is that they equate what you are (gender) with what someone does (abuse) just as many evangelicals say if we ordain a woman, next thing is "homosexuals". Will we ever get out of the typecast?
